Syrian Arab RepublicField MonitorOrganizationJouri Research & ConsultancyPosted 21 Nov 2025 Closing date 27 Nov 2025Field Monitor (For WFP Third-Party Monitoring Services)Position: Field MonitorProject: Third-Party Monitoring (TPM) of Humanitarian AssistanceLocation: Damascus, Rural Damascus, Sweida, Daraa, Qunitera, Hama, Homs, Lattakia, Tartous, Idlib, and Aleppo.Job Type: Full-timeReporting to: Field SupervisorAbout The RoleOur company is seeking qualified and dedicated Field Monitors to form a core part of our team for a bid to provide Third-Party Monitoring (TPM) services to the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) in Syria. The Field Monitor will be responsible for conducting field visits to monitor the implementation and effectiveness of WFP's food assistance and resilience programs, ensuring they reach the intended beneficiaries with quality and accountability.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct on-site monitoring of food distributions, project sites, schools, clinics, and retailers using WFP's digital data collection tools.Interview beneficiaries and cooperating partner staff to collect feedback on program quality, distribution processes, and beneficiary satisfaction.Verify that assistance is delivered according to WFP's targeting criteria and protection standards.Collect and report on market prices of essential food and non-food items on a weekly basis.Conduct Post-Distribution Monitoring (PDM) surveys at households or distribution points.Identify, document, and immediately report any issues, gaps, or unmet needs observed in the field, particularly those affecting women and children.Provide photographic evidence of project activities and infrastructure.Maintain professional and respectful relationships with community members, partners, and local authorities, adhering to humanitarian principles.Qualifications And ExperienceEducation: A Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, International Development, Economics, or a related field. An Intermediate institution diploma with relevant experience may be considered.Experience:A three years of relevant professional experience is required.Previous experience in monitoring, data collection, field research, or community outreach is a strong asset.Experience working in a humanitarian context is highly desirable.Skills & Competencies:Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with people from different cultures.Fluency in Arabic is required. Good working knowledge of English is an asset.Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.Ability to work effectively under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.Cultural sensitivity and a strong commitment to ethical conduct.Physical capability and willingness to travel frequently to remote and sometimes challenging field locations.Specific RequirementsThe applicant must have good outreach and understanding of the local community.The monthly compensation for this position is 2,653,200 SYP.Female candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.Application Deadline: 27 Nov 2025Please note: This position is contingent upon our company being awarded the WFP contract.
