We have top quality solar racking and tracker products that generate the most amount of energy, are the fastest to install, and the most cost effective.We are looking to hire a Field Operations Engineer, with mechanical and electronic experience. This role will be based out of Sydney, Australia. The candidate must have experience working in an outdoor construction environment. As a fast-growing company, this role offers an opportunity to manage a wide array of field operations with the potential for upward mobility within the company. Roles and responsibilities include but will not be limited to:Perform basic construction and commissioning related tasks on GCS PV systems.Perform GCS system installation training and inspection for customers during various phases of installationPerform pre-commissioning and commissioning for GCS InstallationsPerform all reporting requirements per GCS protocolUtilize Continuous Improvement Principles to improve business processes and reduce total costWork closely with installation teams to improve means and methods, install safety, installation documentation, quality, and velocityDrive Quality efforts to assure all installed products meet customer requirementsLead root cause analysis relating to late deliveries or product deficienciesRegular interface with customers and vendors relating to achieving and exceeding their expectationsTravel for key customer visits and construction site visitsOther related special projects and duties as assignedPerform role of GCS Safety Lead, Quality Lead, and Productivity Lead for Turn-Key Installations and Site WorkSkills and Education Requirements:Minimum 2 years’ experience in Utility/Commercial Construction (Utility Solar experience preferred) Experience in leading remote construction teamsExcellent problem solving, customer service, team development, and critical thinking skillsHigh level of integrity with strong emphasis on making and meeting commitmentsHigh sense of urgency with the ability to delegate and prioritize to meet required deadlinesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsUnderstanding of construction contracts and construction contract administrationStrong computer software skills: Microsoft Office applications, AutoCAD, Other applications as requiredAbility to read and understand construction drawingsElectronics experience, specifically wireless communications is a plus.Willing to travel to projects sites within Australia and New Zealand for working is a must.
