Our values – Passion, Growth, Collaboration, Trust, and Inclusion – guide everything we do.About The RoleThe Student Life Programs Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, and coordinating ActivateUTS Student Life Programs, with a focus on student engagement through volunteering and the Creative and Performing Arts (CAPA). You will support high-quality student experiences by managing program delivery, volunteer engagement, student communications, and event execution. This role also assists with the Elite Performer Program and contributes to operational and program improvement initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver CAPA events and activities, coordinating documentation, risk, and stakeholder engagement.Support the Elite Performer Program (EAP), including recruitment, communications, and student engagement.Coordinate ActivateUTS volunteer programs (Lenny’s Mates, Wellbeing Reps, Paparazzi, Tour Guides), including recruitment, tracking, communications, and digital platform management.Maintain accurate student and volunteer records, reporting to the leadership team.Contribute to program improvement, operational processes, and student engagement initiatives.Undertake other duties as required by the Manager, Student Life (Programs and Wellbeing), or General Manager, Student Life and Sport.Selection CriteriaEssentialExperience in a student leadership role, club executive, volunteer role, or EPP program.Experience in events coordination or management.Experience supporting volunteer programs and managing digital systems.Knowledge of university student life, activities, and wellbeing needs.Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.Good administrative, time management, and organisational skills.Ability to work independently, take initiative, and meet deadlines in a busy environment.Understanding of youth engagement and cultural diversity.DesirableBackground in volunteering, student engagement, or CAPA.Current First Aid Certificate or Mental Health First Aid Accreditation.Qualifications or experience in event planning, student engagement, or program coordination.Why Join UsBe Part Of a Dynamic And Inclusive Organisation At The Heart Of UTS, Delivering Programs That Support Students’ Personal And Professional Growth.
