Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it.Role OverviewAs a Field Service Representative, you will provide on-site technical expertise to ensure optimal performance of Solar Turbines equipment. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electro-mechanical systems while delivering exceptional customer service.You will work in dynamic environments, often traveling to customer sites in Eastern Europe (mainly Hungary and Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Latvia, Turkey).You will serve as a Technical Representative carrying out assignments which include but are not limited to:Preventative Maintenance and inspection work including Servicing and Borescope, Vibration and Alignment Inspections.Major Component replacement (Gas Turbines, Gearboxes, Generators & Gas Compressors).Troubleshooting a variety of issues on Mechanical, Controls, Instrumentation & Electrical Turbomachinery systems.Commissioning of product upgrades and new packages.Key AccountabilitiesAbility to understand and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.Have a basic knowledge and understanding of maintenance methods and the best practices associated.Effective use of test equipment, hand tools, gauges and instruments, digital tools and systems to diagnose and identify malfunctions. Analyze, repair or replace faulty parts.Ability to carry out structured problem solving and troubleshooting.Ability to understand and comply with Solar and Customer HSSE policies and procedures and proactively contribute to the safety culture.Requires travel with approximately 75–80% of working time spent at customer sites.Qualifications/Skills/AttributesApplicant will have completed a recognized apprenticeship or training scheme.Ability to work in a high stress environment.A technical qualification (e.g. Electrical, Electronic, Automation, Mechanical, Aviation Engineers Certificate) is preferred.Good IT skills are essential.Familiarity with rotating equipment and PLC control systems preferred.Previous experience may be either Mechanical or Instrument/Electrical and the candidate must be capable of ascertaining cross-disciplined skills.Possess a driving license.Willingness and ability to travel internationally on occasion to complete assignments and required trainings.Ability to work well as a member of a team and also as an individual.English and Hungarian knowledge is mandatory.About Solar TurbinesSolar Turbines Incorporated, headquartered in San Diego, California, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Caterpillar Inc.
