Field Services Engineer

Our client, a global leader in crematoria, designs, builds, and maintains advanced cremation and incineration systems for pet and human crematoria and environmental applications. As a Field Service Engineer, you won’t just be keeping machines running - you’ll be supporting clients during some of their most emotionally significant services, while upholding the highest technical and safety standards. This role offers variety, autonomy, and purpose. You’ll work across the Netherlands, supporting systems in the field, solving complex technical challenges, and representing the company’s values of integrity, innovation, and sustainability.Responsibilities of the Field Service Engineer:Install, maintain, and repair cremation and incineration systems at customer sitesDeal with mechanical and electrical issues on-site, independently and under pressureEnsure all systems operate safely and in full compliance with Dutch health and safety legislation (e.g. Arbowet), VCA standards, and environmental regulationsComplete detailed technical reports using the service systemCollaborate with Engineering and Customer Support teams to share insights and drive continuous improvementBuild trust and professional relationships with customers across the NetherlandsWhat our client is looking for:Essential:Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skillsFluent in Dutch (working English proficiency preferred)Experience in field-based or mobile rolesValid EU driving licenceIndependent, reliable, and safety-focusedWillingness for occasional overnight travelPreferred:MBO Level 3 or 4 in Mechanical or Electrical EngineeringCross-disciplinary skills (electro-mechanical)Experience with combustion systems, PLCs, or industrial burnersFamiliarity with ISO 9001 / 14001Valid VCA certificate or willingness to obtainRewards:Competitive remunerationCompany van and fuel cardFull tools and PPE providedOngoing training and developmentOpportunity to work with leading environmental technologySupportive team culture, with a focus on safety and qualityWhy consider this role?We understand that working in the cremation industry may not be the first choice for everyone.
