Learn more about us at www.xerox.com.OVERVIEW:The Finance Analyst is responsible for the production of consolidated financial and/or regulatory reporting from a legal entity perspective for internal and external bodies, in accordance with statutory and regulatory requirements. This individual will perform a variety of moderately complex finance & accounting functions within the Accounting department.SCOPE:Builds knowledge of the organization, processes, and customersSolves a range of straightforward problems; uses previous experience to identify solutionsReceives a moderate level of guidance and directionModerate decision making authority guided by policies, procedures, and business operations protocolPRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:Prepares journal entries; maintains and reconciles ledger accountsBalances books or accounts and prepares profit/loss, income and balance sheet statementsReviews and verifies the accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications assigned to various recordsPrepares and analyzes financial statements and monthly reportsPrepares balance sheet reconciliation and margin trend analysisAssists with audits by providing supporting records and documentationConducts studies and develops solutions for improving accounting processesPrepares and analyzes tax records and reportsPrepares local, state and federal tax returnsAssists in preparing statistical and financial reportsMaintains records and performs miscellaneous tax assignmentsMay interact with external counter-parties (e.g. vendors)Responds to routine questions related to area of responsibility.
