Finance Associate, APAC

Job PurposeBTIG seeks a talented and ambitious candidate to join the APAC Finance team in Singapore. In this role, the ideal candidate will be supporting closing, reporting, and analysis activities for Singapore and Australia.Duties & ResponsibilitiesDay-to-day and month end accounting processesRegulatory and other statutory reporting, including filings with the MAS in Singapore, and ideally provide support for ASX filings in AustraliaPreparation of financial surveys and other reporting as neededPrepare GST returns and schedules, and support other taxes including corporate tax and FBTPreparation of statutory financial statements and assist with the statutory audit process including liaising with external auditorsManagement reporting and various analysis activities such as customer or regional profitabilityParticipate in projects, change initiatives and other adhoc activitiesIdentify and drive process improvement, best practices and automation opportunitiesRequirements & QualificationsAt least 5 years of tax or accounting experience, preferably within the financial services or securities industryDegree in finance or accountancy, tax qualification, or a related professional qualification such as ACCA or CPA.High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.Experience in Netsuite is advantageous, as well as experience in any automation toolsMust work collaboratively, with a growth mindset and passion for constant improvement and transformationHigh level of attention to detailMulti-tasker, with a focus on effective prioritization and able to work under pressureExcellent English written and verbal communication skillsImportant NotesMust be authorized to work full time in Singapore.
