Job DescriptionJoin our Treasury & Chief Investment Office (TCIO) team as a Business Manager - Vice President in APAC, where you will play a pivotal role in managing the firm's assets and liabilities. The TCIO plays a crucial role in managing the firm's assets and liabilities, ensuring comprehensive oversight of interest rate risk across main business lines. It oversees funding and short-term cash deployment activities while managing liquidity risk and compliance with regulatory requirements. TCIO is responsible for handling the firm's structural foreign exchange risk, contributing to the firm's financial stability and strategic objectives.As a Business Manager - Vice President in the TCIO, you will serve as a trusted advisor, leading business initiatives and managing liquidity risk. You will collaborate with diverse stakeholders, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. Your work will be crucial in maintaining a robust control environment and driving the firm's success in Asia.Job ResponsibilitiesServe as a trusted advisor to the business and provide strategic insightsAct as a key stakeholder, contributing to and driving projects and initiatives that impact TCIO operations in AsiaLead the implementation of business initiatives and ad hoc projects; manage the New Business Initiative Approval (NBIA) process, ensuring facilitation across all disciplinesDrive the business management priorities agenda and maintain comprehensive documentation, with a focus on front office operationsAddress day-to-day business issues and queries from local and regional Treasurers, CIO Portfolio Managers, Lines of Business (LOBs), and control functions related to funding position, cash management, funds transfer pricing, and investment-related mattersInteract with internal auditors and compliance teams, as well as external regulators and auditors, during reviews, inspections, and inquiriesCollaborate with LOB Business Managers, LOB Treasury, and relevant TCIO teams to evaluate and review LOB business initiatives.Engage extensively with various stakeholders within the transaction cycle, including Middle Office, Back Office, Trade Support, and Technology, to address and resolve business issuesRepresent TCIO at various operational committees, such as Location Operating Committees and Outsourcing Committees, ensuring alignment with strategic objectivesParticipate in control agendas and collaborate with Business Control Management and risk management groups (liquidity, operational, market, credit risk, etc.) to ensure a robust and effective business control environmentDevelop and implement business continuity plans for front office operations and enhance existing control and processing frameworks in partnership with Technology and Operations, Middle Office, and FinanceRequired Qualifications, Capabilities, And SkillsMinimum of a Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a business-related disciplineMinimum of 7 years of experience in business management roles in the financial services industry Comprehensive knowledge of products across Banking and Markets businessesIn-depth understanding of liquidity risk, structural interest rate risks, and funds transfer pricingA strong control mindset and exceptional analytical skillsExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholdersHighly motivated and responsible, with a proven track record of strong execution capabilitiesA collaborative team player with a keen attention to detail and precisionPreferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And SkillsCPA/CFA credentials are considered an advantageABOUT USJ.P.
