POSITION DESCRIPTIONTitle: Finance Controller- Thailand Business ClusterReporting To: Group CEO; Thailand General ManagersLocation: Bangkok, ThailandRESPONSIBILITIESThe Thailand business is experiencing rapid growth and expansion, and as such we are seeking an experienced, analytical and savvy Finance Controller with strong interpersonal and finance skills to drive our organization's financial operations and improve financial acumen to support its outstanding performance.• Handling the management of 4 business units, namely including an import unit, two distribution units, a retail stand alone and a single venue hospitality unit. • Supervising and developing the accounting team and function for each of these units. • Developing and overseeing internal controls • Setting and tracking financial targets against a dashboard• Sourcing and managing financial instruments to assist managing cash flow (e.g. trade financing and inventory control)• Developing a short and long-term financial strategy • Monitoring and controlling expenditure• Overseeing insurance and other necessary aspects to protect the business• Managing tax compliance and overseeing audit and tax functions• Developing and improving accounting policies in line with the needs of a large organization• Liaison with relevant government authorities in relation to tax, audit, customs as required Additionally: • Understanding of tax and compliance as well as customs and excise experience as it relates to our industry would be an advantage• We will be likely undertaking SAP implementation in the next 12-18 months so SAP experience would be advantageous• If the candidate is experienced they can possibly oversee supply chain and other back-office functionsYour skills in sound financial planning and systems development coupled with your ability to direct financial assets will assist our organization in implementing effective financial strategies, managing debt, improving revenue, maintaining a healthy financial position, and thus enhancing board confidence to support the growth.PERSONAL SPECSThe ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, excellent strategic thinking and communication skills, exceptional numerical proficiency, and strong leadership skills. Finance Controller Experience:• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance with strong experience with at least 3+ years as a Finance Controller• Proficiency in accounting software (SAP among others)• Financial management experience• Excellent communication skills• Broad knowledge of accounting principles as it relates to Thailand specifically’• An entrepreneurial and problem-solving mindset is a mustRenumeration/ Other:• Open, based on the candidates requisite experience • Open to both Thai national and expatriates
