Job Description

I'm looking for a hands-on problem solver who enjoys diagnosing issues, fixing broken reports, and keeping internal dashboards running smoothly. This role focuses on maintaining and enhancing existing reporting assets rather than building brand-new BI systems. You’ll own day-to-day troubleshooting, incremental improvements, and financial analysis that helps the organisation operate with clarity and confidence.Key ResponsibilitiesPower BI & Reporting (Primary Focus)Serve as the main point of contact for maintaining and updating existing Power BI dashboards and reports.Troubleshoot data refresh failures, broken visuals, connection issues, and model errors.Implement incremental improvements (new fields, logic updates, filter changes, etc.).Ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability across all reporting outputs.Collaborate with teams such as Finance, Client Services, and Project Management to resolve reporting issues.Manage access, permissions, and basic governance in Power BI.Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)Support monthly financial reporting, including variance analysis, revenue insights, and margin tracking.Assist with budgeting and forecasting, maintaining templates and updating assumptions.Create clear, concise financial reports to support leadership decision-making.Partner with Finance to identify performance trends, risks, and opportunities.Data & Process SupportMaintain data connections between Power BI and source systems (CRM, project management tools, accounting platforms, etc.).Identify recurring issues and recommend practical, incremental improvements.Support ad-hoc data analysis requests from business stakeholders.Document reporting processes and ensure knowledge is centralised and easy to follow.Skills & Experience RequiredStrong experience working with Power BI in a support or maintenance-focused role.Ability to diagnose and fix broken data models, refresh schedules, measures, and connections.Knowledge of SQLSolid analytical and problem-solving capabilities.Good understanding of financial statements, performance metrics, and core FP&A concepts.Competence with Power Query and foundational DAX.Experience in an agency, creative, or project-based environment is a plus.
