Job Title: Finance ManagerLocation: Remote (preference for candidates based in South Africa)Working hours: Monday - Friday, standard local office hoursSalary Range: $3000 - $4000 USD/monthOverviewWe are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Manager to oversee the accuracy and integrity of our financial transactions and reporting processes. This role requires someone with a strong technical accounting background, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to take initiative with minimal guidance.You will work closely with our Finance Associates, providing oversight, direction, and mentorship to ensure daily transaction recording is accurate, while taking ownership of more complex accounting and financial matters.Key ResponsibilitiesReview, analyze, and record complex financial transactions to ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.Provide direction, guidance, and mentorship to the Finance Associate responsible for daily transaction processing.Prepare and review reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness.Develop, manage, and maintain advanced financial models and analyses in Excel to support decision-making.Clean, structure, and analyze large, messy datasets to produce actionable financial insights.Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring deadlines and accuracy are maintained.Collaborate with management to improve financial processes, efficiency, and data integrity.Support external audit and due diligence processes as needed.Prepare financial summaries, reports, and dashboards for leadership review.Qualifications & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CA(SA) or equivalent professional qualification preferred.5+ years of progressive experience in accounting, audit, or financial due diligence.Prior experience at a Big 4 accounting firm (audit, financial due diligence, or transaction advisory) strongly preferred.Proven ability to handle and account for complex financial transactions accurately and independently.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills — ability to build financial models, use pivot tables, and transform raw data into usable insights.Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify issues and recommend improvements proactively.Excellent communication skills with a collaborative leadership style.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment with minimal supervision.Strong experience in Power Query and Power Pivot + data visualization tools like PowerBI are a plus Why Join Us:Opportunity to shape and improve financial operations from the ground up.Collaborative environment where initiative and ownership are valued.Competitive compensation aligned with experience and expertise.
