The center provides an unrivalled portfolio of skills, technical and competence-based training and assessment for industrial operations.Scope of role:This person plays a critical role in the risk and control environment for the business. The role’s primary objective is to ensure robust, timely and accurate financial accounting, reporting and financial controls are in place.The role is an essential part of the senior finance team, taking responsibility and ownership for the implementation of appropriate policies, procedures and processes to ensure an effective control environment, providing key strategic information to the leadership to inform decision making and drive business performance.The role will primarily be based at the company’s training facilities in Lusignan.The business has been established for 3 years and now has aggressive plans to expand its training facilities, capabilities and business growth.This role will suit an ambitious qualified and experienced individual seeking a role that positions them well for future progression. An individual who is comfortable in a fast paced, energetic environment and is a natural self-starter.Duties and Responsibilities:·      Provide insightful, timely, accurate and relevant management information to drive better visibility on key business issues·      Cost reviews and cost management·      Support FP&A on monthly business performance reviews with budget holders·      Prepare monthly board pack information including P+L, balance sheet, 6-month forward cash flow forecast, investigate and explain variances to budget figures plus monthly KPI reporting·      Treasury management and day-to-day cash flow planning·      Responsible for coordinating external advisors and supporting the GM in all aspects of taxation including VAT, PAYE, NIC and corporation tax·      Responsible for ensuring revenue is recognised accurately including deferred revenue, POA reconciliations and rebate accruals·      Review work of finance team for accuracy including sales/ purchase invoices and month end balance sheet reconciliations·      Responsible for maintaining fixed asset register and ensuring monthly depreciation calculation Is accurate·      Assist GM in Capex monitoring and support proposals·      Ensuring Goodwill and Amortisation is recorded correctly·      Responsible for ensuring monthly stock takes are undertaken with stock movements being accurately recorded·      The job holder is expected to be flexible and undertake additional duties commensurate with the overall responsibilities of the job, and that are within their competence, when required.Person Specification:At ODITC our values of Innovation, Collaboration and Excellence are at the heart of what we do and reflect what is important to ODITC, how we operate and fulfil our vision. We are looking for future colleagues who believe in the power of working together by being open and respectful, think creatively and dare to be different to find solutions and are dedicated, driven and passionate to strive for excellence. You will have: ACCA qualified3+ years post qualification experienceQuickbooks experience preferredPrevious experience in a Finance role with a good knowledge of company/statutory accounting proceduresGood working knowledge of accounts/finance IT systems, database management and a proficient user of office IT systems including MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BIHighly numerate and analytical with a good attention to detailPrevious experience of successfully managing Finance staff preferredExcellent interpersonal skills with the ability to be diplomaticWell-developed communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levelsHighly organised with the ability to organise team activities/manage team resources/delegate effectivelyAbility to work on own initiative with little supervisionAbility to remain calm and be assertive during busy periods or when dealing with challenging situationsHighly organised/ Meets tight deadlinesDiscreet with the ability to maintain confidentialityOther Competencies:Exhibits strong leadership skills and is a team playerCapable of working effectively under pressureDemonstrates agility and adaptabilityAbility to operate at multiple levelsPossesses good influencing skills, embraces change and drives issue resolutionA can-do attitude, energetic and has the desire to make an impactRenumeration: A competitive renumeration package will be provided to the successful candidateGUYANESE NATIONALS ONLYClosing date for applications: 9th December 2025
