We are seeking a commercially minded, hands-on Finance Manager with proven experience in the construction/real-estate sector who is self-driven, multi-talented and an effective team player.Job SummaryThe Finance Manager will lead day-to-day finance, accounting, treasury and compliance activities for the business and support strategic decision-making for project and company growth. The role requires deep knowledge of Pakistani tax and corporate regulations (FBR, SECP, SBP), strong construction project finance experience, and the ability to implement controls and accurate reporting across multiple projects.Financial Operations & ReportingMaintain complete general ledger and ensure month-end and year-end closing is accurate and on time.Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and management accounts in accordance with IFRS and applicable local standards.Reconcile project cost ledgers, WIP schedules and revenue recognition for construction contracts.Produce timely variance analyses, P&L by project, and consolidated management reports for leadership.Treasury, Cash Flow & Project FinanceMonitor daily cash flow, manage working capital and prepare cash-flow forecasts for company and major projects.Manage banking relationships, oversee bank reconciliations and coordinate loan/ facility documentation and covenants.Evaluate financing options for projects, prepare financial models (costing, IRR, payback, sensitivity analysis) and advise on project viability.Taxation & Regulatory ComplianceEnsure timely and correct filing of Income Tax, Sales Tax, Withholding Taxes and other FBR obligations; coordinate with external tax advisors.Ensure company compliance with SECP, SBP and other regulatory filings and maintain company statutory records.Keep leadership informed of tax risks, refund positions, and implications of regulatory changes.Internal Controls, Audit & Risk ManagementDesign, implement and monitor internal controls, delegation of authorities and approval workflows specific to project procurement and payment cycles.Lead and coordinate internal and external audits; provide schedules, reconciliations and audit support.Implement anti-fraud and expense control measures and ensure transparent documentation for project spend.Costing, Budgeting & Commercial SupportLead annual budgeting and rolling forecasts; monitor budget vs actual and recommend corrective actions.Prepare project cost tracking systems, change order accounting and margin analysis.Assist Commercial/Projects teams with contract review from a financial perspective (payment terms, retention, milestone billing).Team Leadership & Cross-Functional CollaborationLead, mentor and develop the Finance & Accounts team; define KPIs, workflows and performance expectations.Work closely with Projects, Procurement, Sales and Operations to ensure timely billing, collections and supplier payments.Present financial insights to the Board/CFO and participate in strategic planning sessions.Required Qualifications & ExperienceProfessional qualification ACCA / CA / ICMAP / MBA (Finance) or equivalent.Minimum 5 years of progressive finance/accounting experience with at least 3 years in a managerial role in construction, real estate development or contracting.Strong working knowledge of IFRS, Pakistani tax laws (FBR), corporate compliance (SECP) and SBP banking regulations.Hands-on experience with ERP/accounting systems (SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).Advanced financial modelling skills and proficiency in Excel.Excellent communication, stakeholder management and team leadership capabilities.Honest, self-motivated (self-ignited), multi-skilled and able to work under pressure in a project environment.Preference: candidates with experience in project accounting, contract billing and construction cost control.Personal AttributesProactive problem-solver, detail oriented and ethically strong.Team player who can also work independently and take ownership.Comfortable interacting with senior management, auditors and external advisors.Able to priorities multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.Compensation & BenefitsMarket competitive salary.Performance bonus and statutory benefits as per company policy and Pakistani labor regulations.Professional development support and opportunity to work on high-value projects.Friendly, collaborative workplace with opportunities for career growth.How to ApplySend your CV and a brief cover letter outlining relevant construction/real-estate finance experience to hr@d-b-l.com with subject line: Finance Manager – Design Build Live.
