Finance Manager

The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the full spectrum of financial management, accounting operations, planning, and reporting for the Cork-based operations. This role combines strategic finance leadership with hands-on technical accounting responsibility, ensuring strong financial governance, accurate reporting, and commercial support to operational stakeholders. ResponsibilitiesLead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.Prepare monthly management accounts with detailed P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow analysis.Perform and review balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and journal postings.Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic re-forecast cycles.Develop financial models to support business planning and investment decisions.Deliver detailed variance analysis, identifying key drivers and corrective actions.Monitor cost performance and support departments in achieving financial targets.Act as a key finance partner to operational leadership.Provide actionable financial insights to support strategic and operational decision-making.Support pricing reviews, contract evaluations, and tender submissions.Maintain and enhance a strong internal control framework.Ensure tax compliance and timely statutory filings.Support internal and external audit processes.Support and mentor junior finance team members where applicable.Promote a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.Contribute to finance transformation and system enhancement initiatives.QualificationsFully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA).5+ years’ post-qualification experience in a finance or accounting role.Strong technical accounting knowledge and financial reporting experience.Experience within a services or operationally focused environment preferred.Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).Advanced Excel and financial modelling capability.For more information on the role, contact Ray Brennan directly on ray@leesidetalent.ie or on 0830362091
