Finance Manager

Oversee the preparation of financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).Ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.Monitor and analyse financial performance to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.Prepare reports for senior management, stakeholders, and auditors .Develop and manage the annual budgeting process.Prepare cash flow forecasts, project finance models, and cost-benefit analyses.Conduct scenario planning and sensitivity analysis to support strategic decision-making.Analyse operational costs, especially related to vessel operations, port charges, crew wages, bunkering, and dry-docking.Work closely with operations and technical departments to control and reduce costs.Monitor voyage performance and profitability.Manage cash flow to meet operational and capital requirements.Liaise with banks and financial institutions for credit facilities, letters of credit, and currency exchange.Oversee foreign exchange exposure and hedging strategies.Ensure compliance with all statutory laws, regulations, and maritime industry financial standards.Manage insurance policies, including hull & machinery, P&I (Protection & Indemnity), and freight risks.Maintain tax compliance in multiple jurisdictions as required.Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies.Prepare financial documentation for board meetings, funding rounds, or investor relations.Support strategic initiatives such as acquisitions, joint ventures, and asset financing.Job Category: Hiring nowJob Type: Full TimeJob Location: Lagos
