Finance Manager (Full-Time, up to CHF 120,000)Location: Switzerland (Hybrid/On-site depending on company setup)About the RoleMy client is seeking a highly skilled Finance Manager to take ownership of day-to-day financial operations, strategic planning, investor reporting, and fundraising readiness. This role is ideal for someone with deep experience in Swiss startup finance, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage both operational accounting and high-level financial strategy.You will work closely with the leadership team to ensure financial stability, support upcoming fundraising rounds, and maintain best-in-class reporting for investors and the board.Key Responsibilities1. Financial Management (60%)Bookkeeping & Accounting: Handle monthly close, tax compliance, and multi-currency accounting (CHF/EUR/USD).Cash Flow Forecasting: Maintain 12-month runway forecasts and burn-rate analyses.Budgeting & Planning: Lead annual budgeting, quarterly reviews, and forecast updates.Financial Reporting: Prepare P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and investor-ready financial statements.Banking & Payments: Manage bank accounts, payments, and FX hedging activities.Compliance: Ensure adherence to Swiss tax rules, VAT, social contributions, and labor law requirements.Invoicing & AR/AP: Oversee customer invoicing, vendor payments, and cash collection.2. Finance Strategy (30%)Series A Preparation: Build and maintain 3-statement financial models, cap table reporting, and investor materials.Fundraising Support: Create financial projections, manage the due-diligence data room, and support valuation and scenario modeling.Burn & Unit Economics Analysis: CAC, LTV, gross margin trends, and customer cohort performance.Cost Optimization: Headcount planning, contractor vs. employee modeling, and overall cost efficiency oversight.Revenue Tracking: Monitor MRR/ARR, subscription metrics, and gross margin performance.Risk Management: Evaluate currency exposure, supplier concentration, and cash reserve needs.3. Investor Relations (10%)Cap Table Management: Administer equity grants, vesting schedules, and option pool tracking.Investor Reporting: Prepare monthly updates and KPI reports for investors.Board Reporting: Produce monthly board packs with financial results and operational KPIs.Documentation: Support term sheet reviews, equity agreements, and investor documentation.Key Competencies & RequirementsSwiss startup accounting experience (CHF-focused; tax and compliance proficiency).Experience supporting Series A fundraising with investor-ready financial models.Familiarity with SaaS or biotech financial metrics (ARR, CAC, LTV, burn rate).Fluent in English (team and investor communications).Advanced Excel skills (financial modeling, scenario analysis).Cloud accounting systems such as Xero, QuickBooks Online, or SAP Concur.Exceptional attention to detail, particularly for biotech/pharma-level documentation and audit expectations.CompensationSalary: Up to CHF 120,000, depending on experience
