We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Officer to support our finance team in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with both internal controls and external regulations. Reporting to the Transactional Services Manager, you’ll play a key role in delivering finance functions across accounts, reconciliations, and month-end reporting.About The PositionIn this position, you’ll be responsible for a wide range of financial tasks that ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial operations. Your core responsibilities will include performing bank and balance sheet reconciliations, resolving discrepancies promptly, and managing corporate credit card transactions with the appropriate documentation and coding. You'll also support both accounts payable and receivable processes, contribute to the billing cycle, generate invoices, and follow up on billing queries. Additionally, you’ll assist with journal entries, accruals, and other month-end and year-end financial tasks.Your role will also involve ensuring compliance with financial controls and assisting with audit preparation. Maintaining orderly financial filing systems and supporting the implementation of system automation and efficiency initiatives will also be key to your success in this role. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated finance professional to gain broad exposure to core financial processes within a supportive and progressive organisation.Selection CriteriaTo be successful in this role, you'll have strong numerical and analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a genuine interest in continuous learning. You’re someone who takes pride in accurate work and can adapt to changing priorities with ease. You’ll bring hands-on experience in financial systems such as Xero, MYOB, or similar platforms, and solid Excel skills to support data analysis and reporting.A strong understanding of accounting principles, reconciliations, and tax compliance is important, as is experience with accounts payable and receivable, fixed assets, and preparing for Business Activity Statements (BAS). Your ability to communicate clearly and collaborate across departments will be key, and you’re confident working both independently and as part of a team. Ideally, you’ll have at least three years’ experience in a similar role and hold a qualification in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
