A critical part of that backbone is the financial engine that keeps Horizen organised, compliant, and running with excellence.We’re looking for a Finance & Operations Coordinator — a detail-oriented, reliable, systems-minded person who enjoys creating order, building clean workflows, and keeping a fast-growing business running smoothly. This role will grow as Horizen grows. As we expand into new locations over the next few years, this position has a clear pathway to evolve into a larger, potentially full-time operations or finance leadership role for the right person. Your work ensures we stay compliant, organised, and ready to scale.Payments & Supplier ManagementPrepare and load all supplier payments via FNB Business Online (gym equipment, utilities, services, maintenance, etc.).Load and process FOH-submitted retail supplier invoices (FOH owns supplier relationships; you execute payments and manage documentation).Maintain accurate beneficiary records and enforce clean references and documentation.Build and maintain a predictable weekly and monthly payment workflow.Manage timing of payments to support cash-flow clarity.Financial Admin & Document ManagementMaintain a clean, audit-ready Google Drive archive for all financial documents (invoices, receipts, POPs, statements, contracts).Ensure every payment has a corresponding, correctly named, correctly filed supporting document.Use Dext (or similar tools) to process incoming invoices and receipts as needed.Clean up legacy folders and establish a simple, scalable file structure that works for multi-site growth.VAT & Accountant Support (Compliance)Prepare the full monthly compliance pack for accountants (invoices, statements, VAT-support documents, reconciliations, and any required supporting evidence).Respond to accountant queries and ensure zero missing items for VAT return submissions.Ensure all financial admin is month-end and audit-ready at all times.Reporting & Weekly RhythmsProduce a weekly Finance Pulse Report summarising:• payments loaded• upcoming expenses• outstanding documents• anomalies or irregularitiesAssist with the monthly reconciliation pack for accountants.Flag variances, unexpected costs, and duplicate charges proactively.Systems & Process Build-OutBuild and refine simple financial admin systems that ensure consistency and reduce errors.Strengthen the workflow of invoices and documentation between FOH, Operations, and Finance.Establish scalable processes suitable for a business preparing to operate multiple locations.Continuously look for ways to simplify, streamline, and improve clarity in finance workflows.Who You AreYou’re the kind of person who brings order to complexity and keeps things running smoothly without needing constant direction.You’re a great fit if you are:Highly organised and detail-focused — accuracy genuinely matters to you.Process-driven — you prefer a clear workflow over chaotic, ad-hoc tasks.Reliable and consistent — people can trust you with important responsibilities.Financially literate — not an accountant, but comfortable with numbers and documentation.Independent — you enjoy owning a function and making it better over time.Clear communicator — you keep the right people informed, on time.Calm under pressure — you don’t get rattled by moving parts or deadlines.If you’re known as “the organised one” or the person who makes systems work — this role will suit you perfectly.Role DetailsHours: 10–15 hours/weekWorking model: Hybrid — 1–2 days/week onsite; remainder remoteSalary: R12,000–R15,000/monthReports to: Founder / Managing DirectorStart: ImmediatelyHow to ApplySend the following to movement@horizengym.com:Your CVA short note (max 200 words) explaining why this role resonates with youOne example of a system or workflow you’ve improved or created in any previous roleYour earliest available start dateSubject line: Application — Finance & Operations CoordinatorWhy Join Horizen?Horizen is a young, ambitious, mission-driven strength brand with a deeply human culture.
