Looking for Philippines-based candidatesJob Role: Financial Accountant (CPA)Compensation range: $1,800 AUD - $2,700 AUD / MonthlyEngagement type: Independent Contractor AgreementWork Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you'll have flexibility in how you manage your time. They focus on enabling sustainable business models that balance profit with environmental and social outcomes.Role Overview: The Financial Accountant (CPA) will play a key role in both restoring and managing the company's financial operations. Initially focused on reconstructing historical ledgers, reconciling intercompany balances, and standardising workpapers, the role will evolve to oversee month-end processes, multi-entity consolidations, and structured reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting knowledge, experience across diverse industries, and a proactive, service-oriented mindset, with exposure to Australian and US compliance, ecommerce, ERP systems, and multicurrency operations.Key Responsibilities: Reconcile and restore historical ledgers and intercompany accountsStandardise chart of accounts and ledger structuresDevelop and maintain consistent workpapers and audit trailsSupport CFO with forensic reviews and documentationPerform month-end close and reconciliation cyclesManage multi-entity consolidations and elimination entriesMaintain ERP and inventory accounting platformsPrepare structured reporting for management and auditSupport finance frameworks for expansion into new jurisdictionsRequirementsRequired Skills and Qualifications:Essential:5+ years of financial accounting experienceStrong Excel skills (SUMIFS, INDEX-MATCH, PivotTables)Proven experience in consolidations and reconciliationsStrong documentation and workpaper disciplineHigh standard of written and spoken EnglishFormal accounting qualification (CPA, IPA, CA, or equivalent)Highly Preferable:Experience in both public practice and in-house accounting rolesExposure to Australian and US compliance requirementsEcommerce, ERP, or inventory accounting experienceFX/multicurrency handling or strong willingness to learnCommercial and charitable sector exposureAudit preparation or forensic review experienceWork Arrangement & Expectations:This is a remote role that will be set up as an independent contractor engagement.To ensure alignment and transparency, successful candidates will be expected to:Disclose any existing ongoing roles or client workReflect this engagement on their LinkedIn profile (clearly marked as "Independent Contractor")
