Financial AccountantAs a Financial Accountant within the Accounting & Control department, you play a pivotal role in ensuring reliable financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement of financial processes. You combine strong financial acumen with a sharp eye for detail and quality, directly contributing to the transparency and financial health of the organization.You will report to the Finance Manager and collaborate closely with colleagues in FP&A, Business Control, and the Global Finance Team. Together, you’ll ensure compliance with international standards while having the freedom to drive local improvements and efficiencies.This position offers the best of both worlds: a dynamic, results-oriented environment with a clear sense of purpose and long-term value creation.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure accurate, timely, and complete financial reporting (balance sheet, P&L, cash flow, KPIs);Consolidate, analyze, and report financial results to global management;Act as a financial business partner and trusted advisor to local management and departments;Coordinate external and internal audits, ensuring compliance with IFRS and Dutch GAAP;Prepare statutory financial statements in accordance with Dutch GAAP;Lead process improvement and accounting optimization initiatives (Lean focus);Safeguard data quality, compliance, and internal controls (AO/IC);Manage VAT filings and support corporate income tax (CIT) submissions;Ensure correct reporting of intercompany positions within the group;Maintain and control master data (GL accounts, cost centers, segments, bank accounts, VAT, roles, and access rights);Identify financial risks and advise management on policy and process improvements.RequirementsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Economics, Accountancy, or a related field;Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, controlling, or audit;Proven experience preparing statutory accounts, managing audits (Dutch GAAP), and handling tax filings;Solid knowledge of IFRS, Dutch GAAP, compliance, and reporting processes;Experience within a Big 4 audit firm is an advantage;Strong communication skills in both Dutch and English;Proactive, analytical, and structured approach – you take initiative, connect the dots, and work with precision.Would you like to be part of a forward-thinking organization where your financial expertise truly makes an impact?
