Role DescriptionThe Financial Analyst II is responsible for leading financial analysis efforts that support decision making across the company. This position requires a strong analytical background with the ability to analyze and consolidate financial results for reporting to Senior Management. Should be a self-starter, able to demonstrate sound judgement and versatility in decision-making and problem solving.DutiesProvide analytical, forecasting, reporting, and project support to senior management.Spearhead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes.Identify opportunities for financial performance improvement across the organization.Assist management in tracking adherence to the budget with variance analysis and explanations.Develop, update, and maintain individual business unit and consolidated financial models to help facilitate decision-making.Coordinate financial inputs for proposals.Assist with financial review of monthly transactions.Assist with month end, quarter end, and year end close process as needed.Support internal and external audit requests and reporting functions.Work with corporate and subsidiary intercompany transactions.Assist in developing ad hoc planning models/tools to facilitate business decisions.Assist with data gathering to support preparation of invoices.Support creation of materials for various management reviews, proposals, and meetings.Build and monitor KPIs to inspect business health and performance.Build scalable processes and mechanisms to enhance financial visibility, control, and planning effectiveness that supports future growth.Perform annual billable rate analysis for current and future customers. QualificationsBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.Requires at least five (5) years related experience, preferably in the energy services industry .Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, financial statements and reports, accounting ledgers, and computer technology related to accounting systems.Experience with QuickBooks Advanced Online preferred. Knowledge, Skills, And AbilitiesExcel skills are a must — including pivot tables, advanced formulas, and financial model development (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statement models).Experience with Power Query and Power BI.Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.Highly motivated, self-directed, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
