We are a private, non-profit Foundation, linked to the Hospital Clinic de Barcelona, whose mission is to strengthen people’s health and improve the quality of life of citizens. To respond to our founding goals, we have a CRO (Contract Research Organization) for conducting clinical studies (BARCELONA CLINICAL CORDINATING CENTER - BCCC), initiated by the pharmaceutical/med-tech industry or by researchers, both in the field of medicines and medical devices, offering a comprehensive portfolio of services to meet the needs of our customers.The position:The Financial Business Controller reports to the CEO with a dotted line to the BCCC Director, and it is a key role within the organization.He/she will provide comprehensive overview of the financial performance of BCCC, with monthly economic tracking of projects and financial and analytical support to the Clinical Project Managers and BCCC Management.He/she will participate in the invoicing procedures, the revenue recognition policies and calculation, in budgeting and forecasting projects, overall process improvement.Prepare Proposals of BCC upon requests from either investigators or industry and working in conjunction with Business Development of BCCC.He/she will ensure the contracts have the right accounting and finance reporting outcome with a full management of all finance data, revenues and cost. To carry out this duty he/she will be able to keep contact with customers and suppliers.Having a deep understanding of the CRO’s business model he/she will provide essential insights to Direction to evaluate the implementation of strategies that ensure CRO’s ongoing financial performance and profitability.The Financial Business Controller will coordinate the activity with other functional areas of the Finance Department in the Mon Clinic Foundation. Requirements:University education, preferentially in business administration and accounting.Good acknowledge of the ERP accounting package SAGE, preferably SAGE 200.Good accounting acknowledges.Prior experience in portfolio projects with financial management and forecasting.Ability to serve as a consultant to internal business partners and provide financially sound recommendations.Excellent in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Power BI.Attention to detail, accuracy, organizational, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.Spanish & Catalan with a high English level.Required Experience:Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar financial position.
