The team blends traditional banking disciplines with modern fintech rails and crypto-enabled services.Why this role mattersYou will own the financial close, statutory reporting, and cash controls while leading AML/CTF practices end to end. Your work keeps the business compliant, audit-ready, and execution-focused as new payment products scale.What you will doRun the monthly close and deliver accurate management accounts under IFRSOwn cash management, bank reconciliations, working capital, and treasury routinesLead statutory reporting across VAT, Corporate Tax, ESR, UBO and regulatory filings in the UAECoordinate internal and external audits, prepare schedules, and close audit findingsBuild and maintain internal controls, finance SOPs, and risk registersDesign and operate AML/CTF framework - policies, KYC/EDD, sanctions screening, transaction monitoring, STR/SAR via goAML, training, and record keepingPartner with operations and product on new payment flows to ensure accounting, tax, and AML fitProduce clear MI packs for management - P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, variances, and KPIsWhat you bring5-8 years in accounting/controlling in financial services or payments in the UAEStrong IFRS, monthly close, and audit experienceSolid command of UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, ESR, UBO, and regulatory timelinesHands-on AML exposure in a regulated environment - CAMS or similar is a plusAdvanced Excel and comfort with ERPs and bank portals - Power BI is a plusMeticulous, structured, and comfortable working cross-functionally with product, ops, and complianceDegree in Accounting/Finance - CPA/ACCA/CMA is an advantageWhat success looks like in 90 daysClean month-end cadence with reconciliations up to dateAudit pack ready with clear schedules and SOPs documentedAML policies refreshed, training completed, and monitoring in steady state
