Manager, Financial Controller Location: Saskatoon, SKCome and join our team! Sandvik is a global, high-tech engineering group with approximately 44,000 employees and sales in about 150 countries with a focus on enhancing customer productivity, profitability and sustainability offering solutions for manufacturing, mining, and infrastructure industries.Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Financial Controller will be responsible for overseeing and managing the financial well-being of the business, through strong leadership and management reporting. This position is accountable for Company Budget, Quarterly forecasts, 12 month Rolling forecast, and financial reporting. You will be able to adapt quickly to requests in a fast paced and innovative work environment. You will play a critical role in aligning financial plans with operational priorities and providing actionable insights to senior leadership. This position will be situated in Saskatoon, SK.CompensationWith this opportunity, DSI Underground offers a compensation package including:competitive salaryannual incentive programcomprehensive group benefitsrelocation programpension planprofessional development programemployee engagement and social activitiesEssential Duties And ResponsibilitiesResponsible for accurate and timely consolidated financial statements and management reports for the company, Accountable for monthly financial package preparation including budget vs. actual reports, P&L analysis, balance sheet informationWork with outside tax accountants on annual tax filing and complianceCoordinate physical inventory counts and oversees inventory and other asset recordsConforms and abides by all regulations, policies and work procedures and instructionsAnalyzes budget and reviews for accuracy and variancesInvestigates complex reporting discrepancies and identifies root causeReviews quarterly forecasts, identifies problems and provides effective solutionsSupervision and development of accounting staff, performance management, development of job descriptionsEngage and create a positive environment for all members of the teamAssigns work load and identifies training and education requirements for staffDevelop detailed financial plan and model accordance according to company strategic planMonitor and asses accounting systems and controls and implement accounting practicesEnsure compliance to all policies and proceduresMaintain the company’s system of accounts, oversee accounts payable and receivable, manage accounts payable aging, accounts receivables, allocating funds to correct amountsAssist and participate with management team to build a strategic plan and help the development of the businessWork to maintain an environment of trust and high morale among employeesOversee the Navision Accounting SystemRequired CompetenciesBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA designation is required.Minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial management role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.Proficiency in financial software (e.g., ERP systems), Microsoft Excel, and financial modeling.Strong knowledge of Canadian GAAP, IFRS, and tax regulations relevant to the manufacturing industry.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.Proven leadership and team management abilities, with a focus on mentoring and development.What We Offer:Strategic finance leadership in a mission-critical industrial sectorExposure to ground support product manufacturing and global operationsModern tools: Business Central v26, Power BI, Jet AnalyticsCollaborative, growth-focused cultureThe opportunity to make an impact on our businessThe opportunity to be part of an ambitious team in an industry leading business.The opportunity to reach your full potential.Ongoing development and training.An excellent comprehensive compensation package including a pension plan with matching, competitive health, dental, life and disability benefits.Relocation Package availableOur Culture:Our core values are the soul of the company.
