Financial Controller

Storm Recruitment are partnering with a long-established Irish SME to appoint a Finance Controller to join their Senior Leadership Team. This position is ideal for a commercially minded finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced, solutions-driven environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping financial strategy, driving operational excellence, and supporting the company’s growth ambitions.Compensation & Benefits: €90,000 - €100,000 plus bonus Death in service and health insurance coverage.Increased annual leave allowance based on time in service.Long-term service bonusPension planKey Responsibilities:Lead financial management including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and reporting.Deliver accurate management accounts and board reports.Oversee financial controls, compliance, audit, tax, insurance, payroll, and pensions.Drive profitability, margin improvement, and informed commercial decision-making.Develop financial models and business insights to support new initiatives.Optimise internal systems and processes, leveraging technology to enhance reporting and efficiency.Collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team to align financial, operational, and people strategies.Lead, mentor, and develop the Finance and Business Support teams.Candidate Profile:Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, CMA) with a minimum of five years in senior finance leadership.Hands-on, commercially astute, and comfortable balancing strategic priorities with day-to-day execution.Strong people management and interpersonal skills, fostering collaboration and a positive culture.Experienced in financial systems, reporting, Excel modelling, and ideally ERP systems Experience with system implementation
