Financial/Fund Accountant | 6-Month Contract / not open to 1st movers Sydney CBD An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Fund/Financial Accountant to join a high-performing finance team within a large, listed, and fast-growing organisation. This role sits within a key business division supporting a diversified investment portfolio, offering exposure to complex structures and technical accounting in a dynamic environment. About the RoleReporting to the Finance Manager, you'll play a critical role in maintaining financial integrity, ensuring accuracy across reporting, compliance, and control. This position offers a broad mix of financial reporting, technical accounting, and stakeholder engagement, working closely with both finance and operational teams. Key Responsibilities:Manage end-to-end financial reporting, including month-end and year-end close processes.Deliver accurate reconciliations and ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.Prepare management reports, commentary, and support statutory and audit requirements.Partner with internal teams to support transactions, process improvements, and ongoing system enhancements.Contribute to finance transformation and operational efficiency initiatives. You're proactive, collaborative, and have strong attention to detail.To be successful, you'll bring:CA or CPA qualification with 3+ years post-qualified experience.Strong technical accounting knowledge (AASB / IFRS).Experience in financial control, fund accounting, or corporate accounting environments.Advanced Excel and solid systems skills.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
