Conducting analysis and providing meaningful commentary on variances notedAssist in identifying trends that impact profitability across specific products, channels, and business lines. Benchmark the performance of each business line locally against competitors and regionally to ensure competitive positioning. Prepare and deliver relevant, timely reports for Line Management, Executive Management, and the Board. Support the executive team by drafting assigned speeches and presentations on business performanceAnalyze potential opportunities for acquisitions and integrations to optimize capital utilization while ensuring that associated risks align with the Group’s overall risk toleranceBuild and enhance the entity’s data-mining capabilities to support financial and regulatory reporting, as well as advanced analytics for regional initiatives. This includes leveraging tools such as Oracle Business Intelligence (OBI), PISCO, and Epiphany to deliver accurate and insightful reportingDevelop reporting frameworks and performance metrics to update Executive and Senior Management on strategic initiatives, while aligning with regional priorities through collaboration with International Banking. Evaluate Scotia Group’s competitive positioning, analyze current markets, explore new market opportunities with business lines, and research competitor strategies to identify areas for differentiation and growthConduct and coordinate international and domestic research on macroeconomic, social, and competitive trends, while identifying strategic opportunities for Scotia Group. Prepare annual or bi-annual reports on market trends, competitive dynamics, and strategic imperatives, and provide actionable recommendations to enhance profitability.QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE Graduate degree in Finance or AccountingMinimum of three years’ experience in financial planningExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly and concisely while maintaining accuracy and precisionStrong analytical and organizational abilities, complemented by excellent interpersonal skills, sound professional judgment, and tact when interacting with internal and external stakeholdersWorking knowledge of SmartView/Hyperion, PISCO and Epiphany would be considered an assetStrong proficiency in spreadsheet and word processing applications is required
