Job SummaryThe Senior Manager - Group Information & Communication Technology oversees the technology infrastructure and service delivery processes of the department to ensure the smooth operation and continuous improvement of the VM Group’s ICT systems and services. Contribute to the development and execution of the enterprise-wide ICT strategy ensuring alignment with the VMGroup’s goals and objectives.ResponsibilitiesOversee the organization’s core infrastructure, including data centers, servers, networking, storage, cloud environments, and unified communications systems, ensuring they are reliable, scalable, and secure.Develop and execute long-term infrastructure strategies to support the organization's growth and business needs, aligning technology solutions with overall business objectives.Ensure the infrastructure meets security standards and regulatory compliance requirements.Develop and manage the infrastructure budget, including forecasting costs and tracking variances. Ensure the cost effectiveness and optimization of infrastructure investments, such as hardware, software, and cloud services.Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and service providers. Negotiate contracts, manage SLAs, and ensure the delivery of services and equipment meets organizational needs.Stay informed about emerging technologies and trends in infrastructure, security, and cloud computing and identify opportunities for innovation to improve operational efficiency, scalability, and reliability.Ensure robust disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity (BC) plans are in place, tested, and continually updated to minimize downtime and data loss.Provide regular updates on infrastructure performance, risks, and opportunities for improvement.Ensure infrastructure can scale to meet growing demands, including planning for future capacity needs and evaluating new technologies that can support future growth.Oversee the day-to-day activities of the Infrastructure and IT Operations & Service Desk teams, ensuring that system availability and service delivery SLAs are met.Qualifications & ExperienceM.Sc. in Computer Science or Business AdministrationA minimum of seven years of experience in IT, with a proven track record in managing IT infrastructure and operations and database management systemsKnowledge of ITIL framework and best practices for IT Service Management.Strong Knowledge of network technologies, cloud computing, and virtualization.Strong Knowledge of business continuity managementAbility to effectively collaborate with cross functional teams.
