Finance Systems Administrator The Company Our client operates as a globally diversified gold mining organization with a broad portfolio of high-quality assets, projects, and exploration ventures across 10 countries and four continents. The company strategically pursues opportunities in complementary minerals where it can capitalize on its established assets, equity interests, and extensive technical and managerial capabilities.  Applications are invited from ambitious, energetic and performance driven individuals. The Role Reporting to the Director Financial Systems, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the integrity, governance, and optimisation of Group financial systems. This role combines leadership of SAP FICO master data and HFM consolidation systems to deliver accurate, compliant, and insightful financial reporting. It balances business-as-usual administration with strategic transformation initiatives, driving standardisation, automation, and integration across SAP, HFM, EPMWare, Workiva, and related platforms. The Key Responsibilities Systems & Master Data Governance: Manage and maintain SAP financial structures (Chart of Accounts, cost centres, GLs) and metadata across SAP, HFM, TM1, EPMWare, and Workiva. Administer HFM environments, ensuring data integrity, access control, and compliance with SOX and governance standards.Financial Close & Consolidation: Lead monthly and quarterly close processes, consolidations, and reconciliations in HFM, delivering accurate and timely financial results and executive reports.Transformation & Projects: Drive key finance transformation initiatives including US GAAP ledger enablement, CoA harmonisation, system integrations, and upgrades.Governance & Compliance: Enforce master data standards, support audit readiness, and monitor data quality through KPIs and risk controls.Process Improvement: Champion automation, efficiency, and integration across finance systems, partnering with Finance and Digital Technology teams.Leadership & Collaboration: Mentor data stewards, serve as the point of accountability for master data and consolidation systems, and collaborate with Controllership, FP&A, and auditors. The Requirements Post-graduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Information Systems.Professional qualification (CA, CIMA, or equivalent) preferred.SAP and HFM or other financial system certifications are advantageous.+8 years’ experience managing enterprise finance systems in multi-region environments.Proven expertise in SAP FI/CO, HFM administration, and FDMEE integration.Strong background in financial consolidation, close cycles, and reporting compliance.Experience with SOX, audit, and master data governance.Exposure to tools like EPMWare, Workiva, TM1, or BI/reporting platforms are advantageousActive involvement in large-scale SAP or HFM projects such as SAP and/or HFM migrations, CoA harmonisation, or automation. The Rewards Based in Johannesburg, this position offers a permanent contract with a competitive remuneration package.Offers a unique opportunity to play a strategic role in shaping the financial systems landscape of a leading multinational, driving innovation, efficiency, and compliance across the Group.
