An essential part of Finnair´s Operations division is Operations Resource Planning which is responsible for carrying out resource planning for flight deck and cabin crew, technical operations line maintenance personnel and ground services personnel in the long, medium and short term. In addition, the department is responsible for carrying out operational change management for crew. Now is your chance to make an impact on one of the most key planning functions at Finnair.

We are now looking for anANALYST to strengthen our Manpower Planning and Analysis Team in Operations Resource Planning department. In this role, you will be producing and optimizing long, mid and short term manpower resource plans for ground resourcing areas (Kitchen, Technical operations line maintenance and HEL Hub customer service) to support smooth execution of Finnair´s production plan. Whether it relates to future network structure and traffic program or ensuring consistent and efficient journeys, you get to learn how these and many other topics are linked to manpower planning.

In addition, you will build productivity and what-if analyses related to traffic scenarios, changes in contractual issues or different business initiatives. You will cooperate closely with key stakeholders and contribute to decision making process related to resourcing topics. You will also provide analysis support for other teams within Operations Resource Planning and contribute to development initiatives such as IT projects and CLA negotiations. You’ll be part of a close-knit team of four analysts working collaboratively with stakeholders across Finnair Operations, from Flight deck and cabin crew, HEL Hub customer service to kitchen and technical line maintenance functions.

Main Responsibilities In The PositionDeveloping and optimizing long, mid and short term manpower plans for ground resourcing areasto achieve optimum manpower utilization in relation to set targetsCommunicating and highlighting risks, bottlenecks and opportunities related to manpower resources in short-, mid- and long-termProviding manpower cost and productivity analysis, e. g. related to traffic and fleet scenarios, changes in contractual issues or company policiesProviding support for monthly rostering optimization processDeveloping analytical approach to manpower planning areaContinuously seeking and identifying opportunities to improve planning processes, analysis methods and reportingOur expectations for you to be successful in this position:

Bachelor´s degree in Industrial Engineering & Management, Economics, Statistics, or other relevant field of studyA few years relevant experience in resource or production planning or other relevant areaAbility to understand and assimilate complex dependencies and processesAbility to prioritize and work under pressureStrong self-starter and team playerPositive attitude to continuously learn, develop and improveSolid collaboration and interpersonal skills in different organizational levelsFluency in English and Finnish, both written and spokenExcellent communication and presentation skillsExcellent analytical skills combined with smooth usage of MS ExcelFamiliarity with tools such as Power BI or workforce planning systems is an advantageExperience in interpreting collective labour agreements will be seen as an advantageWe offer you a versatile position with opportunities to develop your analytical and problem-solving skills in a complex planning environment.
