Job Description

This position involves a high level of complexity and includes decision-making responsibilities that directly impact project outcomes, incoordination with project’s lead designer or project owner. The Engineer II is expected to seek clear instructions, deadlines, and projectrequirements, and to follow up on tasks for themselves and for less experienced engineers involved in the project.Responsibilities Handles projects of all complexity levels with minimal or no oversight from the project’s lead designer or local leader. Organizes workload independently or in collaboration with the lead designer to ensure timely and accurate project execution. Reviews specifications for code compliance with state and local AHJs, in coordination with the lead designer. Designs conduit routing and circuit configurations from start to finish, subject to peer review and approval by the lead designer. Proposes initiating and notification device layouts for design-build projects, pending approval from the design manager or lead designer. Generates RFIs to be reviewed and submitted by the lead designer. Serves as first filter to review BOMs to ensure capacity for panels, card addresses, NACs, initiating devices, and power supplies. Provides close guidance and limited leadership/coordination for one Specialist or Engineer I team member on medium-to-high complexity projects. Offers mentorship and technical guidance to entry-level engineers.RequiredWhat we look for: Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Electrical or Electromechanical Engineering. 2-4  years of experience in engineering related activities. Must be able to meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude. Effective and professional communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate with internal/external customers and peers. General business level in English (B2 and above) Achieves/maintains NICET Fire Alarm System Level II.Fire Alarm Codes, Testing, Inspection and Maintenance Curriculum (BTS-15655).
