Construction Manager – Hyperscale Data CentreLocation: Finland – On siteA global digital infrastructure provider is accelerating its Northern European expansion and is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead the on-the-ground delivery of a major hyperscale data centre project in Finland. This is a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of the construction phase from mobilisation and site preparation through to build completion, commissioning, and final handover.
You’ll act as the key link between global engineering teams, local delivery partners, and regulatory authorities to ensure the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to world-class quality and safety standards. Key Responsibilities:
Lead the full construction lifecycle of a hyperscale data centre, managing site activities across civil, structural, architectural, and MEP worksOversee day-to-day contractor and subcontractor performance, ensuring adherence to programme schedules, cost targets, and quality benchmarksCoordinate closely with global design and engineering teams to adapt plans for compliance with Finnish codes and Nordic construction practicesManage site health, safety, and environmental performance, maintaining compliance with all local legislation and company standardsTrack progress, manage delivery risks, and implement mitigation strategies to keep the project on trackOversee commissioning readiness and support a smooth transition to operations teamsDrive value engineering opportunities and promote sustainability best practices throughout constructionYour Background:
Proven track record managing large-scale data centre or other critical infrastructure construction projects in EuropeStrong site management expertise with the ability to coordinate multiple trades and disciplines in fast-paced environmentsSolid understanding of construction sequencing, build quality control, and commissioning processesExperience managing general contractors and EPC partners to successful delivery outcomesDegree or equivalent qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, or related technical discipline; site/project management certifications an advantagePrevious experience delivering projects in the Nordics or similar environments strongly preferredThis role will suit a hands-on, detail-focused Construction Manager with the leadership skills to run a high-value, technically complex build in a challenging but rewarding environment.
