The branch is continually working to improve processes and effectively align its resources with the needs of its clients. A strong emphasis on integrity, teamwork, and professional conduct contributes to building and maintaining relationships with various agencies within the Government of Yukon and other governments.As a Forester, you will play a key role in managing forest resources within a designated region of Yukon. This role is responsible for implementing higher-level forest resource management plans, developing timber harvest plans and access roads, and overseeing licensing and permitting processes. This role also involves engaging with First Nations, industry, stakeholders and the public; supporting wildfire risk reduction initiatives, managing contracts and supervising staff or contractors as needed.
