You will work on the design and development of packaging machinery, focusing on high-speed mechanical packaging solutions (450+ products per minute). This is a hands-on role where you will collaborate with other engineering disciplines to ensure robust, efficient, and scalable machine designs.Responsibilities:Design and develop mechanical solutions for packaging machinery.Translate customer products into optimised packaging designs.Ensure systems perform at high-speed throughput (450+ products per minute).Work closely with electrical and automation engineers for full system integration.Support testing, validation, and improvement of machine concepts.Skills & Experience:Proven experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer in packaging machinery design (non-negotiable).Strong hands-on design experience with tools such as Inventor, Solidworks or similarStrong background in conceptualising and translating products into packaging solutions.Proficiency in mechanical design tools and methods.Knowledge of high-speed machinery and reliability design.English required; Dutch preferred.Willingness to work onsiteLocation & Duration:Location: Nijmegen (onsite 3 days per week, 2 days remote possible).Duration: 6-12 months, with potential for extension.Start: ASAPIMPORTANT: The client will only consider candidates who are eligible to work in the EU as freelancers (ZZP or equivalent).
