Job Title: Post Merger Integration (PMI) Project ManagerLocation: Germany (Hybrid / On-site as required)Language Requirement: Fluent German and EnglishStart Date: Targeting 1st December 2025 (Planning Phase)Project Execution Start: Expected Q1 2026About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Post Merger Integration (PMI) Project Manager with a proven track record in leading complex integration programs following mergers or acquisitions. This role will be central to planning and executing a seamless integration, ensuring alignment of processes, systems, and teams across the merged entities to deliver measurable business synergies.The PMI Project Manager will lead the planning phase starting in December 2025 and will take ownership of execution from Q1 2026, managing risks, stakeholders, and vendors to ensure successful delivery. Hands-on experience in Post Merger Integration is essential for this role.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and drive the Post Merger Integration planning process, including developing integration strategies, defining workstreams, and building a detailed execution roadmap.Take ownership of execution of the integration plan, ensuring delivery of business objectives, timelines, and budgets.Coordinate cross-functional teams across Finance, HR, IT, Operations, and Legal, ensuring alignment and timely resolution of dependencies.Proactively identify and manage risks, issues, and change impacts throughout the integration lifecycle.Oversee and coordinate external vendors and consultants supporting integration activities.Establish and maintain strong stakeholder engagement, including regular reporting to senior leadership and integration governance boards.Track and measure synergy realization and integration performance against targets.Implement governance frameworks to ensure structured, transparent, and accountable integration execution.Qualifications and ExperienceProven hands-on experience in Post Merger Integration programs is mandatory.Strong background in program/project management methodologies (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent).Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder programs, including internal teams and external vendors.Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.Solid understanding of business processes across multiple functional areas.Fluency in German and English (written and spoken) is essential.Experience in large corporate or international environments is highly desirable.Personal AttributesStrategic thinker with strong execution discipline.Highly organized, pragmatic, and results-oriented.Comfortable operating in fast-paced, evolving environments.Collaborative leadership style with strong interpersonal skills.Contract DetailsEngagement Type: FreelanceStart Date: Targeting 1st December 2025 (flexible depending on final project timelines)Duration: Initial contract through completion of integration (anticipated through 2026)
