Freelance Public Relations and Communications Account Executive (MENA – Clean Energy)

Mercom Capital Group is seeking an experienced freelance Public Relations and Communications Account Executive to support our rapidly growing clean energy practice in the MENA market.This is a remote, part-time contract position ideal for professionals seeking flexible hours while working with an established global communications agency.About the RoleWe are looking for a communications professional who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and is passionate about clean energy and technology. You should be energized by complex subject matter, enjoy creative problem-solving, and be proactive in managing client deliverables.Candidates must have communications experience in the MENA region, particularly in USA and Saudi Arabia, with a focus on the power, energy, or renewables sectors. Arabic language proficiency is required. Agency experience is strongly preferred. Must be located in Dubai. ResponsibilitiesSupport day-to-day client and project management, ensuring high-quality deliverables and timely communication.Develop and execute media outreach plans across traditional and digital channels.Maintain and build strong media relationships in the energy and technology sectors.Create clear, compelling content including press releases, pitch letters, articles, social media copy, speaking abstracts, and talking points.Monitor MENA energy, renewables, and sustainability news trends to identify proactive PR opportunities.Secure media placements, speaking roles, and conference opportunities for Mercom clients.Collaborate with Mercom’s global communications teams to align messaging and outreach.Participate in virtual meetings and provide progress updates per Mercom’s WFH policy.RequirementsMinimum 2 years of PR or communications experience in the energy, power, or renewables sectors.Experience working directly with journalists in MENA energy and environmental media outlets.Strong Arabic and English writing and verbal communication skills.Proven ability to manage multiple client projects remotely.Strong strategic thinking, time management, and interpersonal skills.Agency experience preferred; ability to work independently while collaborating virtually with international teams.Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, or related field preferred.To be considered, please email: hr@mercomcapital.com and attached your CV, cover letter, visa requirements and salary requirements.QualificationsPublic Relations and Communications Services
