Front Desk Administrative AssistantLocation: New York, NY 10019Compensation: $50,000 - $70,000 per year (commensurate with experience)Schedule: Full-Time (On-site, Monday–Friday 9:00a-5:00p)FlexStaff is seeking an Administrative Assistant with healthcare or medical office experience for our client, a leading medical and research center in Manhattan. This position will support their outpatient medical practice, be the first point of contact for patients and play a critical role in creating a welcoming and professional environment. This position includes front desk responsibilities as well as administrative coordination. The ideal candidate will have outstanding customer service skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage sensitive information with compassion and discretion.Responsibilities:Greet and check in/outpatients at the front desk, managing a positive and professional first impressionAnswer and screen incoming calls; assist patients in person, via phone, or email with empathy and claritySchedule appointments across departments and manage patient flow efficientlyPerform administrative tasks including accurate record-keeping and interdepartmental coordinationMaintain confidentiality and compassion when handling sensitive medical informationFoster cooperative and respectful relationships with physicians, nurses, and other clinical staffHelp maintain a calm, patient-centered environmentPerform other administrative duties as assignedQualifications:High school diploma or GED required, associate’s degree or higher preferredPrior experience in a fast-paced customer service role (healthcare setting a plus)Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google SuiteExceptional interpersonal and communication skillsCompassionate and patient-focused mindsetStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to take initiative and manage multiple tasks effectivelyProfessional demeanor and strong sense of discretionTeam player who thrives in a collaborative clinical environmentBenefits:Affordable health and dental insurance with employee premiums as low as $1.00 per paycheckEmployer-funded health reimbursement accounts for medical, dental and vision401(k) plan with a discretionary employer match (historically 8%)Company paid life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insuranceGenerous paid time off, plus the added benefit of summer FridaysSix months of paid maternity leaveChildcare expense reimbursement programStudent loan repayment programHousing assistance program
