Frontend Engineer

We’re partnering with a team building one of the most developer-friendly open-source databases for multimodal AI. They power advanced vector search, RAG, and large-scale AI data workflows, and we’re helping them find an experienced Frontend Engineer to shape the user experience for their high-performance cloud platform.What you would be working on:Creating intuitive and impactful interfaces that let users explore and manage multimodal datasetsCollaborating closely with design and engineering to refine the end-to-end user experienceContributing to scalable backend systems that deliver a serverless experience for billion-scale workloadsMoving quickly with a small and elite team behind influential open-source projects like Pandas, Arrow, Delta-rs and HadoopGrowing into leadership opportunities as the team scalesRaising the bar across architecture, best practices and overall product qualityTech stack includes Typescript, React, Python, Rust, AWS, GCP, Azure, Kubernetes and TerraformWhat we’re looking for:At least six years of experience building front-end applicationsStrong expertise in Typescript, React or Next.js or Vercel, HTML and CSSA genuine obsession with giving users the best possible experienceSomeone who values simplicity, code quality and performanceSomeone who thrives in a small, high-caliber and high-autonomy environmentExperience working with vector databases or distributed databasesNice to have:Open-source contributions, especially in the TypeScript ecosystemFamiliarity with cloud-native technologies like Kubernetes, Lambda and TerraformBackground in large-scale or high-traffic systemsExperience with CI or CD and DevOpsInteraction design experienceWe’re working with a team founded by engineers who have built open-source tools used by millions, and this is a great opportunity for someone who wants to help define the next generation of AI data systems.
