Gaming QA Tester

OVERVIEWThe QA Tester is responsible for executing test cases, verifying software functionality, and identifying defects to ensure the delivery of high-quality software. They play a crucial role in validating the application against requirements, finding and reporting defects, and maintaining accurate test documentation.DESCRIPTIONExecute test cases based on predefined test plans and test scripts to verify software functionality, usability, and performanceRecord test results, including observed behaviors, defects, and deviations from expected resultsReport and track defects using a defect tracking system, providing accurate and detailed information to assist in defect resolutionCollaborate with development teams to ensure proper defect categorization, prioritization, and timely resolutionWork closely with QA Engineers and QA Leads to clarify test case execution details, raise concerns, and provide feedback on test coverage and effectivenessParticipate in test case reviews and provide input for test case improvement and refinementCollaborate with automation engineers to identify test cases suitable for automation and provide necessary inputs for test automation scriptsCollaborate with QA Compliance Testers to ensure adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements during testingContinuously update and maintain test documentation, including test cases, test data, and test environmentsMonitor and track test execution progress, providing timely status updates to stakeholdersComplete all other tasks that are deemed appropriate for this role and assigned by the manager/supervisor.REQUIRED SKILLSExcellent written communication skills (especially in the English language)The ability to work well in a team environmentAttention to detail and the ability to meet deadlinesREQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONSExperience with Microsoft and Google platforms (MS Office, Google Docs, etc)DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEPassion for the video games and translation industriesKnowledge of prior and current gen consoles, and PCUnderstanding of digital technologies (mobile, tablets, browser tools, etc)Experience with participating in testing open Alpha, Beta, and Early Access games
