Job Description – Resort ManagerLocation: Caribbean (Full relocation and housing provided)Reports to: General ManagerCompany: – a listed luxury resort operator in the Caribbean and Central AmericaProperty: 5-Star Luxury Resort - 300 keys Role SummaryThe Resort Manager will oversee day-to-day operations of a flagship luxury resort, ensuring seamless guest experiences, operational excellence, and alignment with the company’s brand standards. Reporting to the General Manager, this role is central to maintaining world-class service standards while driving financial performance, staff development, and operational efficiency. Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Experience & Service ExcellenceEnsure delivery of a consistently exceptional 5-star luxury guest experience across all departments.

Proactively address guest feedback, complaints, and service recovery with discretion and efficiency. Uphold international service and luxury brand standards, tailoring experiences for high-net-worth and discerning guests. Operational LeadershipOversee daily resort operations, including front office, housekeeping, F&B outlets, spa, recreation, and maintenance. Implement and monitor operating procedures, service standards, and quality control measures. Ensure smooth coordination across departments for optimal efficiency. Financial & Commercial PerformanceSupport the General Manager in achieving revenue, GOP, and overall profitability targets. Monitor budgets, operating costs, and cost-control measures while maintaining service quality.

Collaborate with sales, marketing, and revenue management teams to maximize occupancy and ADR (Average Daily Rate). Team Management & DevelopmentLead, motivate, and develop department heads and staff across the resort. Drive training, succession planning, and a culture of excellence, accountability, and service innovation. Ensure compliance with labor regulations and company HR policies. Health, Safety & ComplianceEnforce compliance with all safety, hygiene, and legal requirements. Oversee security, risk management, and sustainability initiatives. Ensure environmental and corporate social responsibility standards are embedded in daily operations.

Brand & Corporate StandardsAct as a brand ambassador, ensuring consistency with the resort’s positioning as a 5-star luxury property. Maintain alignment with the listed company’s corporate values, operational standards, and reporting requirements. Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field (Master’s preferred). 10+ years of progressive leadership in luxury resorts/hotels, including at least 3 years in a Resort Manager, Hotel Manager, or Director of Operations role. Proven track record in managing large, multi-outlet luxury properties with international clientele. Strong financial acumen, with experience managing P&L and driving operational profitability.

Exceptional leadership, communication, and guest relations skills. Experience in the Caribbean or similar resort destinations preferred, but not required. Personal AttributesGuest-centric mindset with an uncompromising commitment to luxury standards. Cross-cultural leadership skills and adaptability to diverse teams. Commercially astute with strong problem-solving ability. Resilient, hands-on, and able to operate effectively in a dynamic resort environment.
