Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Gemologist role based in Kandy. The Gemologist will conduct gem identification and certification using advanced equipment and methodology in accordance with industry standards. Responsibilities include evaluating gems, jewelry, and watches, preparing detailed appraisal reports, and ensuring accurate documentation. The candidate may also assist with estate jewelry and oversee the quality of gem testing processes to maintain precision and reliability. Qualifications Expertise in Gemology, including gem identification and analysisStrong skills in Jewelry Appraisal, Appraisal, and Estate Jewelry evaluationExperience working with Watches and other high-value itemsStrong attention to detail and precision in documentation and testingFamiliarity with gem-testing equipment and international certification standardsRelevant certifications or formal education in Gemology is highly desirableAbility to work independently and collaboratively at an on-site locationPrior experience in a gem testing laboratory or related industry is an advantage
