For more information, please visit our website MG Motor EU www.mgmotor.eu.We’re seeking a skilled and detail-oriented General Ledger Accountant to join our pan-European finance team. You’ll be responsible for maintaining accurate & timely financial records, supporting monthly, quarterly and annual closings, and ensuring compliance across multiple EU entities.Responsibilities:Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of postings.Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and supporting schedules.Post accruals, prepayments, provisions, and other journal entries as required.Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances.Support month-end and year-end closing activities within defined deadlines.Liaise with internal departments (Sales, Purchasing, Operations) to ensure correct accounting treatment of transactions.Ensure compliance with group accounting policies, IFRS, and local statutory requirements.Support external and internal audits by preparing required documentation.Participate in process improvement initiatives within the Finance function.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree or above in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.Minimum 3 years’ relevant accounting experience; automotive industry or Big 4 audit background is a plus.Solid understanding of general ledger processes, IFRS, and local GAAP.Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred) and MS Office (Excel, Word).Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.Fluent in English; at least one European local language is an advantage.What we offer:An appropriate salary and holiday allowancePerformance-based bonusRetirement savings planA goal-oriented and positively challenging work environmentLocation:The location of this position is in Amsterdam.
