Job Title: General ManagerReporting to: Chief Operating OfficerLocation: Maidenhead, BerkshireSalary Range: NegotiableThe Malloy Aeronautics Team:Malloy Aeronautics Limited specializes in the development of heavy lift unmanned air vehicles (UAVs) for both civilian and military use. Located in Berkshire, our operations are notable for their focus on in-house design and manufacturing. This vertical integration means we control the production of most aircraft components on-site, enhancing our ability to innovate and maintain high standards across all stages of development.About The Role:The General Manager (GM) is responsible for supporting the COO with overall leadership, direction, and operational management of Malloy Aeronautics (MA). This role involves overseeing daily business operations, formulating and implementing business strategies, managing budgets, and ensuring organisational goals are met. The GM acts as the key decision-maker across functional areas (Facilities, Safety, Health & Environment (SHE), Security, Business Ops & IT) fostering a productive, efficient, and growth-oriented environment.The GM is responsible for ensuring that the appropriate level of Business Governance is in place to ensure the efficient operation of MA. This includes ensuring MA are aligned to BAE Systems operations.The GM will act as the Project Management Authority for MA ensuring that the appropriate level of PM governance is applied to the projects delivered by MA. The GM will work closely with BAE Systems FalconWorks PM team to achieve this.The GM will lead the planning, execution and delivery of transformation programmes across MA ensuring that the transformation initiatives are aligned with delivering the MA strategic goals and IBP objectivesAbility to hold Security Clearance – 5 years residence in the UKWhat you’ll being doing (but not limited too):Oversee day-to-day operations of MA to ensure efficiency and productivity (Facilities, SHE, Security, Business Ops & IT)Driving high standards of safety, health, and environment and building sustainabilitySupport the development of company strategy, with a specific focus on how MA will deliver its strategic objectivesManage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports; monitor KPIs and take corrective actions as neededEnsure operational compliance with all company policies, industry standards, and legal regulations. Ensure the entity aligns with the BAE Systems Operational Framework and Code of Conduct based on agreed tailoringDrive customer (internal) satisfaction and ensure a high level of service deliveryIdentify areas for operational improvement and implement systems or process changes that feeds into the transformation activitiesSecurity of employees, site and company informationIdentify and manage enterprise risks and opportunitiesLead, mentor, and develop staff membersLead the planning, execution, and delivery of transformation programme across MA.Collaborate with MA SLT to define strategic goals and align transformation initiatives with MA strategic priorities.Conduct gap analyses, assess business processes, and identify opportunities for optimisation or innovation.Develop and manage transformation roadmaps, including timelines, milestones, budgets, and resource allocation.Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and integration of transformation activities.Monitor project outcomes, report on key performance indicators, and adjust plans as needed to achieve objectives.Manage change management efforts to ensure smooth adoption of new processes, systems, or structures.Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and stakeholder communications to build engagement and support.Evaluate risks and develop mitigation plans to ensure program success.Essential Skills and Experiences:Certified Project Manager – PMP, CAPM, PgMP, PfMP, Prince2 etcThorough understanding of both the contract management & project control processes and obligations including but not limited to Contract status reviews, Lifecycle management, integrated Baseline Planning. Wholly owned entity operational assurance statements.
