The General Manager – Retail will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end retail operations, driving profitability, and ensuring seamless customer experiences across all stores. The role requires a dynamic leader with strong business acumen, operational excellence, and a deep understanding of the retail landscape. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in managing multi-store operations, team leadership, and driving sales growth through strategic initiatives.Key Responsibilities1. Retail Operations ManagementOversee day-to-day operations of all retail stores to ensure efficiency, profitability, and brand consistency.Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and performance standards.Monitor stock levels, merchandising standards, and store maintenance.2. Sales & Business GrowthDrive sales performance and ensure achievement of monthly and annual revenue targets.Identify new business opportunities and expansion strategies.Analyze sales data and market trends to optimize pricing, promotions, and inventory planning.3. Team Leadership & DevelopmentLead, mentor, and motivate store managers and retail staff to deliver exceptional performance.Conduct regular performance reviews and training sessions to enhance team productivity.Foster a culture of accountability, customer focus, and operational excellence.4. Customer Experience & Brand ManagementEnsure consistent and superior customer experiences across all stores.Implement feedback mechanisms to improve service quality and customer retention.Uphold brand values and visual merchandising standards in line with company guidelines.5. Financial & Operational ControlManage budgets, cost control, and P&L for all retail operations.Optimize operational costs while maintaining service quality.Prepare financial and operational reports for management review.6. Strategy & Market ExpansionCollaborate with senior management to define long-term retail growth strategies.Evaluate potential locations for new store openings and oversee setup and launch.Stay updated with retail market trends, competitor activities, and emerging consumer behaviors.Candidate ProfileQualifications:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or related field.Experience:Minimum 7+ years of experience in retail management, including at least 3 years in a leadership or multi-store role.Proven experience in driving sales, managing P&L, and leading large retail teams.Skills & Competencies:Strong leadership and people management skills.Excellent analytical, organizational, and decision-making abilities.Sound understanding of retail operations, merchandising, and customer engagement.Proficiency in MS Office and ERP/Retail Management Systems.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
