Job Title: General ManagerLocation: Saskatoon, SK.Employment Type: Full-Time Salary: TBD Schedule: Monday – Friday: 7:30am – 4:00pm About Us:Saskatoon Pallet is a leading provider of new pallets, crates, core boxes and industrial wood products. We take pride in our commitment to quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. We’re looking for a General Manager to lead daily operations, sales, drive efficiency, and ensure our team produces top-quality pallets on time and within budget. Responsibilities:Oversee day-to-day operations of the pallet shop, including production, repair, and recycling.Supervise and schedule shop employees; manage staffing levels to meet production goals.Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.Ensure product quality and compliance with company and customer specifications.Track production metrics, materials usage, and inventory.Handle logistics and salesImplement continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity and reduce waste.Train and mentor employees on equipment use, safety procedures, and quality standards.Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities, report maintenance needs. Qualifications:Experience in pallet manufacturing, wood products, or a similar production environment is preferred, but not required.Prior supervisory or management experience preferred.Strong understanding of pallet construction, repair processes, and equipment (saws, nailers, stackers, etc.) is preferred, but not required.Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.Commitment to workplace safety and quality control.Ability to read and interpret production schedules and work orders.Basic computer skills (MS Office, production software, etc.).Forklift certification a plus.
