The ideal candidate will have strong technical writing skills, proficiency in Eurocode (EN 1997), AASHTO … design codes, and the ability to translate field/lab data into actionable engineering recommendations.Key Responsibilities Report Preparation & Review:Prepare, review, and finalize geotechnical interpretative reports (e.g., foundation design, slope stability, liquefaction assessments).Ensure reports comply with Eurocode 7 (EN 1997), AASHTO LRFD, and project-specific standards.Summarize lab/field data (SPT, CPT, borehole logs) into clear conclusions and recommendations.Design Compliance & Analysis:Conduct geotechnical calculations (bearing capacity, settlement, pile design) per Eurocode/AASHTO.Evaluate soil-structure interaction for foundations, retaining walls, and pavements.Assist in risk assessments (e.g., landslides, seismic hazards).Collaboration & Coordination:Liaise with civil engineers, project managers, and clients to align reports with design requirements.Support fieldwork/logging teams to ensure data accuracy for reporting.Quality Assurance:Verify consistency between field data, lab results, and report conclusions.Address client/regulatory feedback on report revisions.Qualifications & Skills Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s in Geotechnical/Civil Engineering (or related field).Experience:3-5 years in geotechnical reporting (e.g., GIR, FDR, slope stability reports).Familiarity with Eurocode 7 (EN 1997-1/2), AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications.Proficiency in geotechnical software (e.g., PLAXIS, GeoStudio, Lpile) is a plus.Technical Skills:Strong analytical/writing skills with attention to detail.Ability to interpret lab tests (triaxial, consolidation, shear strength).Soft Skills: Time management, teamwork, and client communication.Achyutam International is a leading Recruitment Agency for Jobs in Africa, Middle East and Asia, both for Expatriates and for Local professionals.
