Together, we empower our people to develop solutions that make a meaningful difference in the lives of millions of patients while fostering a supportive, inclusive, and dynamic workplace for our colleagues.Job OverviewThe Global Finance Business Partner Operations & Product Costing is the trusted Finance advisor of the Chief Operations Officer (COO), responsible for the execution of quantitative and qualitative analysis, directly supporting the Manufacturing, Operations and Supply Chain functions and coordinating a unified approach to closely measure, report and compare production costs and product cost simulation among all manufacturing sites. The role will be based in Zug, Switzerland and is part of the Global Financial Planning & Analysis Team, reporting into the Global Head of FP&A, advising the COO and his leadership team. The role will be overseeing a team of 3 FTE in TaiwanMain ResponsibilitiesMinimum 15+ years of finance experience, including 10+ years in a manufacturing and product costing roleKnowledge in FP&A within the Pharmaceutical, Biotech, Medical Device, or Manufacturing industries.Act as Global Finance Business Partner for Chief Operating Officer (COO) and the Operations Organization, advising and influencing them on financial decisions and levers to optimize gross profit and ensure cost controlProvide monthly financial reports on detailed Cost of Good Sold (COGS) for Taiwan, US and later Swiss production sites, showing performance versus budget as well as positive or negative variances as well as underlying drivers and explanations.Develop, distribute, and discuss monthly financial reporting packages, focusing on operations and manufacturing performance, tracking productivity, material expenses, operating expenses, absorption, etc.Collect and report CAPEX needs for the global Operations organization (CH/US/TW).Drive process standardization for product costing across all manufacturing sites.Guide and advise the Operations organization with all budgeting and forecasting needs.Oversee and ensure consistency and high quality of the standard costing approach for all global manufacturing sites.Support the ramp-up of critical investments within Operations to expand the company’s footprintImplement KPIs for the Operations organization and drive continuous monitoring of performance indicators, highlighting trends and analysing variances; Advise the business on actions and improvement potential based on the outcomesProvide the COO and Operations department heads with solid data, in-depth analyses, and recommendations to support decision-making and ad-hoc reporting requests.Identify and recommend potential improvements in the business area with relevant stakeholders to enhance performance, efficiency, or results.Support the global product cost simulation initiative by delivering accurate data and acquiring a deep understanding of the cost drivers, methodology, and calculations.Promote a global “one team approach” within the Finance team and collaborate closely with different functions and country teams in SHL.Minimum RequirementsMinimum 15+ years of finance experience, including 10+ years in a manufacturing and product costing roleKnowledge in FP&A within the Pharmaceutical, Biotech, Medical Device, or Manufacturing industries.Proven leadership capability, ideally with experience leading international teams.Independent and confident presentation style with the ability to manage and influence senior stakeholders.Proficient in “story-telling,” with the ability to translate financial data into management presentations.Excellent problem-solving skills and a solution-oriented mindset.Solid experience manufacturing and supply chain finance as well as product costing Positive, “can-do” attitude; an energetic leader able to gather energy and build followership.Strong team player with excellent communication and presentation skills.Ability to gain trust at all levels of the organization.Comfortable working in a dynamic and changing environment.Responsible, resilient, and stress-resistant.Strong know-how of SAP S4, SAP PS, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), SAP BW or other BI systemsFluent in English both spoken and written.Preferred QualificationsBachelor degree in Business, Finance, Science, Industrial Engineering or similarFluent in German or Mandarin both spoken and written.We OfferChallenging assignments in a fast-growing and innovative industry.
