GSCC is a program hosted by the Meliore Foundation. We are seeking a Strategic Communications Associate based in Bangladesh to drive the GSCC Bangladesh strategy in alignment with our global mission. The role involves developing and delivering impactful campaigns, commissioning research, building media and stakeholder relationships, and monitoring public debates to influence narratives on climate change and energy transition.
As part of an international team, you will leverage strategic communications to support the Global and Bangladesh strategy. If this sounds like you, we'd love for you to apply. How you'll contributeDrive the GSCC Bangladesh strategy in alignment with the global mission and 2025–2026 network strategy. Develop and deliver high-impact communication campaigns and thematic interventions. Commission and collaborate on research and reports related to climate, energy transition, and green recovery. Build and maintain relationships with media outlets, journalists, NGOs, government agencies, and academic partners. Monitor and influence public and media narratives on climate and energy issues.
Collaborate with the global network to create localized, territory-specific content. Support advocacy efforts through targeted digital communication campaigns. Assist in preparing project proposals, budgets, and funding requests. Coordinate communications for national and international events, including representing the organisation abroad. Track media coverage, prepare reports, and contribute to internal planning processes. Provide strategic communications advice and support to partners and campaigns in Bangladesh and across the network. Act as a source of local insight for global and regional strategies. Our ideal candidate hasStrong understanding of climate change, energy transition, and sustainable development issues, particularly in the South Asian context.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; Bengali proficiency is highly desirable. Ability to analyze media narratives, identify opportunities, and craft targeted interventions. Competence in digital campaigning, social media strategy, and online engagement. Strong networking skills, with the ability to build relationships across civil society, media, academia, and government. Research skills, including ability to interpret and communicate complex information clearly.
Candidates should have at least 3 years of working experience in the related fieldThe versatility and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced work setting that involves different time zones and communication methods, with previous experience working in a remote and global environment.
