About the JobParticipate in training experience, learn new skills, and to demonstrate increasing proficiency andexpertise with supervisory and managerial responsibilities.Undergo on-the-job training based in two different teams under GELM FinanceProject manage departmentwide and ad-hoc activities to develop leadership skills in various aspects.Accelerate personal growth through personal development interventions.Explore MySQL / Tableau and develop skills in verifying scripts & understanding logic.Understand end-to-end process of reinsurance actual cash flow data and perform data verification, while documenting the testing log.Provide support in system enhancement and postproduction verification.Review Purchase Requisition (PR) and perform compliance check on supporting documents.Issue Purchase Order (PO) within the agreed turnaround time (TAT) and deliver PO to business units or vendors.Assist Procurement Manager to manage and support Procurement Centralised sourcing activitiesManage expediting process; monitor delivery and follow up with vendor on goods/services ordered and, with vendor/business units on invoices.Ensure PO is completed and closed accordingly and manage the long outstanding PO.To attend any queries on framework from BU/PM and to provide guidance/input on procurement principle, ensure adherence on the Policy and Procedures.To identify, propose, and initiate area for improvement for purchase order (PO) administration process.Other responsibilities entailedTakes accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and takes appropriate steps to mitigate the risks.Maintains awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company.Highlights any potential concerns /risks and proactively shares best risk management practices.We are looking for people withBachelor/Master Degree in Actuarial Science, Accounting & Finance, Economics, Business, Statistics, Mathematics, Analytics, Data Science, etcMinimum CGPA of 3.50/4.00Fresh graduate or with 1 year working experienceDriven, strong research skill, analytical skill, and communication and interpersonal skillsProficient in Microsoft OfficeStrong organisational awareness, business acumen, and financial industry knowledgeFunctional Competencies: Creativity, Cross-Functional Knowledge, Product Knowledge, Planning and Organising, Information Seeking, Data Analysis, Conceptual Thinking, Project Management.Behavioural Competencies: Adaptability, Teamwork, Personal Effectiveness, Passion for ExcellenceResourceful, Can-do Attitude, Emotional Intelligence, VersatileWillingness to learn new skill to improve work performanceHigh level of integrity, takes accountability of work and good attitude over teamwork.Takes initiative to improve current state of things and adaptable to embrace new changes.How you succeedChampion and embody our Core Values in everyday tasks and interactions.Demonstrate high level of integrity and accountability.Take initiative to drive improvements and embrace change.Take accountability of business and regulatory compliance risks, implementing measures to mitigate them effectively.Keep abreast with industry trends, regulatory compliance, and emerging threats and technologies to understand and highlight potential concerns/ risks to safeguard our company proactively.Who we areFounded in 1908, Great Eastern is a well-established market leader and trusted brand in Singapore and Malaysia.
