Role: Graphic DesignerLocation: Peterborough (Hybrid) CITB is currently operating a hybrid approach to working and the teamwork from home and attend the office an average of one to two days per month depending on business needHours of Work: Full-time (35 hours per week)Contract: PermanentSalary Range: £46,350 - £49,500Grade: SC3Target Salary: £47,973Interviews: Anticipated during the first 2 weeks of DecemberAs part of the interview for this opportunity, we will ask candidates to provide their portfolio of work.To create compelling, accessible, and professional visual communications that support CITB's mission to develop skills within the construction industry. This role will deliver high-quality graphic design solutions across multiple channels whilst ensuring compliance with Government Communication Service (GCS) standards, accessibility requirements to effectively communicate with construction employers, workers and stakeholdersWhat You’ll Be Doing:Visual Communications Design and Brand Management - Create engaging visual designs for marketing campaigns, internal communications, digital platforms and print materials that align with CITB brand guidelines and HM Government brand standards. Develop consistent visual identity across all communications channels whilst ensuring designs support the organisation's role as the Sector Skills Council and Industry Training Board for construction.Accessible and Inclusive Design - Ensure all graphic design work produced meets GCS accessibility standards. Apply accessibility principles to visual communications including, but not limited to, alt text considerations, colour-blind accessibility and compliance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG.)Multi-Channel Content Creation - Design visual content for diverse channels including digital platforms, social media, websites, print materials, exhibitions and multimedia presentations. Create graphics that work effectively across different formats and platforms whilst maintaining consistent brand standards and messaging clarity for construction industry audiences.Campaign Support and Creative Development - Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to develop creative concepts and visual solutions that support campaign objectives. Translate complex construction industry information and training concepts into clear, engaging visual communications that resonate with target audiences and support behaviour change objectives.Digital Asset Management and Brand Compliance - Oversee the management and organisation of digital asset libraries and ensure all design materials comply with government brand guidelines and intellectual property requirements. Develop and maintain design templates, style guides and visual standards that enable consistent application of brand identity across the organisation.Innovation and Technology Adoption - Stay abreast of design trends, software developments and emerging technologies including responsible use of AI design tools.
